Our subjective view is that Karton aims to record some way of life that impressed us in the large domain of the alternative music.

Toulouse-based, our team is made of several members wandering around France and Greece ! Hitting the European roads in the context of our concert or simple trips, we meet atypical characters, with an unique view of the world that is scarcely diffused by dominant media.

Of course, we will discuss the bands, but not only. They are just small entities in a larger system, joining the forces of an informal community maintaining a distance with hierarchies or any flags or any legal constraints.

It’s a network made of music lovers, wanderers, improvised cooks, simple curious, pirates without home, event organisers for a night, technicians more or less trained, squatters, people allergic to boredom, to already anticipated paths, stereotypes and uncomfortable feelings to have no choices.

This fanzine is not a forum for the people excluded from the existing system. Rather it is the forum for those who have chosen deliberatedly to create their own version of their daily life.
